Self-Assessment Tests
Three tests designed for different roles and experience levels. Each test has 30 questions β take the one that matches where you are, check your answers, and identify where to focus next.
Choose the test that matches your role
FIDIC Foundations
Covers the core concepts every MCA staff member should understand β contract structure, key parties, responsibilities, and how FIDIC works in practice. A good starting point for anyone new to FIDIC-based programs.
Applied Knowledge
Goes deeper into contract administration β payments, variations, claims, notices, and the Engineer’s role. Designed for MCA staff who interact regularly with Engineers and Contractors in day-to-day program delivery.
Expert Challenge
A demanding test covering complex FIDIC scenarios β disputes, determinations, Sub-Clause interpretations, and edge cases. Suitable for anyone who wants to test the limits of their FIDIC knowledge regardless of role.
Choose your test
Start with the test that matches your role. If you work directly with Engineers and Contractors, begin with Test 2. Not sure? Start with Test 1.
Work through it without the answer key
The tests are most useful when taken without reference materials first. Note the questions you are uncertain about.
Review with the answer key
Use the answer key to check your responses. Pay particular attention to the questions you got wrong β these point to the areas worth focusing on.
Go deeper
Use the FIDIC video series and AE resources to build on what you’ve learned. Then come back and try the next level.
